Deyonte Groce a.k.a Tay DaKidd has been rapping since the age of 5.
A sports player since the age of 3 has been playing t-ball turning into baseball, basketball and football for his local community leagues. Football being the favorite of all of the sports he plays he prides himself on the many positions he can play both on offense and defense.
Tay DaKidd has been an A, B student for his entire school career. Teachers have often complemented him and encouraged him to study hard and excel in all of his school work. He is currently taking an honors math class with High School credit while in middle school.
Tay DaKidd and Darrien B formed the group Cause and Effect while still in single digits. They mirrored behind their fathers in the music business and began writing their own lyrics by the age of 10. With more than 10 songs behind them Tay DaKidd had the opportunity to perform in Grand Hustle Studio’s while visiting with his uncle in Atlanta. Later the third part to their group, Champ, emerged. He is Tay DaKidd’s god brother. Little be known to any of them they would form such a great bond and be synced together to form the up and coming phenom Young Hogz.
The group Young Hogz will be the first recording artists from the first record label in Cleveland, HoodTalk101. HoodTalk101 is a multi talented organization that believes in giving back to the community, giving a second chance to inner city youth that may have been over looked and be underprivileged but still need to have an avenue to express themselves. The founder of HoodTalk101 is an advocate against drug violence and shows young gang members how to direct and channel their anger with the world in other directions. Shoot for the moon and if you don’t make it you will land amongst the stars.
Darrien B has been singing and rapping since the age of 5.
Using his birth name as his stage name, Darrien B is known to family as Deebo. He has been an A, B student all of his school career and started taking honors classes in 6th grade. He feels that school comes first and that he does put that effort forward.
Darrien B is also a student athlete; he has been playing basketball since age 4 and football for the past 5 years along with baseball for the last 2 years. Darrien B is on his High School’s Junior Varsity football team, and plays many positions for his team. He loves to play sports and this is how he balances his life and stays active.
Since the age of 6 he has been writing his own songs, and the age of 10 branched off into writing his own raps. Lyrically he liked singing more but had not been developed in it fully. He was a natural at rapping due to his father being a rap artist as well. He and his cousin Tay DaKidd formed Cause and Effect before they realized that Tay DaKidd’s god brother Champ was a vital part of their up and coming group Young Hogz.
Since their joining forces with Champ, Darrien B and Tay DaKidd have only complemented and strengthened each other with guidance from their fathers, god father and other influential people that love, support and back them in pursuing their dreams.
These three young men are God fearing, respectful and want to give back to people that are less fortunate than themselves. They want to open doors for some of the youth that may not have the means to be able to do so, but not only do they want to open it, they want to break it off the hinges so that no one can put barriers around their minds again.
Champ also known as Ralph Banks has been intrigued recently to want to rap. Since partnering up with his fellow group members Tay Da Kidd and Darrien B, he has developed into a pro like it is second nature to him.
Champ is a socialite, loves to play basketball and is an A/B student and has been one his whole school career. Champ has been playing basketball since he was around the age of 7. He is a very easy going laid back kind of guy. His bubbly personality makes him a Champ with the ladies.
The addition of Champ to Cause and Effect has evolved into a force that is hard to be reckoned with. Although he is new to the industry, he has an ear for music and his touch of newness makes it easier for the more seasoned of the group to help him out with his willingness to learn.
Champ’s father is the founder of Hood Talk 101 and is very active in the group’s upbringing. He is backed by a phenomenal staff that wants to give back to the community through the kids. The organization has goals of not only reaching out to intercity youth but also to youth in the suburbs to help bridge the gaps in their interactions.
