Group of Lyricists known as The Magoolies

The MAgoolies (@magooliegang) are an inspiring group of lyricists
from different sections of Philly.  The quality of music differs heavily
from the usual hip hop content of Philadelphia rappers. The MAGoolies rebel
against the overtly "gangsta" and the annoyingly fashionable rapper
microcosms within the city which of course draws a critical eye and causes
the idea of a feud to loom over the heads of the members.  In all due
honesty they do not make music for the Louis Vuitton dapper hipsters or the
skinny jean pessimists that strictly enthuse everybody that trapping is the
divine route to success.

The only way to classify the group is as ....
simply different. The members (@BanJoe_Kazooie, @abish_cable,
@BigBlackAfricka, & @XanyBrainyMAG) are influenced by diverse talents
within music, film, and television and the content of the music reflects
such influences (references to heroin addicted jazz musicians, retro
Saturday morning cartoons, and even comparisons of the group to The Five
Heartbeats on a constant basis).

MAGoolies have been featured onblogs for Urswurve.com, Impactrelations.com, HipHopOctopus, NappyAfro,HipHopUpdate, NikkiSiixx, RapNerds,  HipHopRec.com, Peace! Magazine, and MusicMEdiaZone.com. The group has been featured on ROBGRadio, PncRadio.com's Brooklyn Bodega Radio show, been apart of DJ JADEMAN's radio playlist, along with OfficialStreetRadio.com's "Official or Phraud Campaign."  Artists such as Izza Kizza, Mike Bigga aka Killer Mike, and DiceRaw of The Roots have shown support for the group.

I wasnt sure at first how I would start my blog but I knew that I wanted it to be focused on of course my Music Promotions but also to let my friends and Twitter followers, and the world  get a glimpse into my life and know who MsSlim is yes I am a promoter but that is just one of the things I do and not who I am. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and currently reside on the East Coast in love with New York City. While it can be full of glamorous and fame its also a very tough place to live.  Only the Strong survive and in my case this is very true being that I grew up on the East Side of Cleveland, Ohio Im happy because I was able to transfer those survival tools I learned there to being the person that I am today.   I am now working for a Prestigious college and also running a small business which I have just started . I want to promote music that elevates minds, music that can change lives when you hear it. Doing promotions for  Focus(Afam Ent) who is...
